PRL Cobra Intake Sound | Before & After on Integra DE4 / Civic Si Platform

Want to know how the PRL Motorsports Cobra Cold Air Intake actually sounds in the real world? In this video I share a full before & after sound comparison on my 2024 Acura Integra A-Spec (DE4), which shares the 11th gen Civic Si (FL4) platform.

This post is for anyone trying to decide whether the sound and personality change are worth it before buying parts.

Why This Matters for the DE4 / Civic Si Platform

The Integra DE4 and 11th gen Civic Si share enough platform DNA that many performance parts cross over. The key is understanding fitment, sound, daily drivability, and whether the upgrade matches your goals.

Real-World Takeaway

This is less about chasing a single dyno number and more about how the car feels and sounds every day.

Acura Cargo Net Install | Easy Integra OEM Upgrade

In this video, I install the OEM Cargo Net in my 2024 Acura Integra A-Spec Technology Package (DE4). This simple and functional accessory helps keep items secure in the hatch area. It's quite small for a cargo net but still a nice addition.

The goal is to make the job feel approachable before you start taking parts off the car.

Why I Like Simple OEM+ Upgrades

Not every upgrade has to be loud or expensive. Small interior and cargo-area improvements can make the car better to live with every day.

Daily Use Takeaway

These are the kinds of mods you notice in normal ownership: cleaner storage, better organization, and a more finished factory feel.

PRL Cobra Cold Air Intake Install on Integra A-Spec (DE4) / 11th Gen Civic Si

The PRL Motorsports Cobra Cold Air Intake is sold as a kit for the 11th gen Civic Si (FL4), but it fits the 5th gen Acura Integra A-Spec (DE4) perfectly and the install is identical.

In this write-up and video, I install the PRL Cobra Cold Air Intake on my 2024 Acura Integra A-Spec Tech (DE4) using the same procedure PRL specifies for the 2022–2025 Honda Civic Si 1.5T.

If you’re running an 11th gen Civic Si or Integra DE4, this is a true bolt-on solution and a great OEM+ style upgrade.

Watch the Full Install Video

I filmed the entire process step-by-step, including a few tips that don’t always show up in the instructions.

👉 Watch the full install on YouTube:

What We Cover in the Install

Using PRL’s official install guide as a baseline, the video and this post walk through:

  • Removing the stock intake and airbox

  • Installing the PRL Cobra intake, MAF housing, and lower tube

  • Routing the intake into the fender / bumper area for true cold-air placement

  • Tips to avoid common install mistakes (clips, bolt access, and sensor handling)

  • Final checks and first start-up

If you can handle basic hand tools and are comfortable under the hood, this install is very doable in a home garage.

Parts and Tools Used

Below are the tools and accessories I used (or close equivalents). These are affiliate links — using them helps support the channel at no extra cost to you. 👇

Hand Tools & Sockets

PRL Intake Kit

This kit is marketed for the 11th gen Civic Si, but as shown in the video, it bolts right onto the Integra A-Spec (DE4) with identical fitment and routing.

Why I Like the Cobra on the Integra DE4

  • True cold-air placement in the fender / bumper area

  • Clean OEM+ look in the engine bay

  • Shared platform with the Civic Si means strong aftermarket and proven results

  • Install is completely reversible if you ever want to go back to stock

If you’re comfortable following torque specs and taking your time around the MAF sensor and plastic clips, this is a very satisfying upgrade.

About the Build

We’re taking our 2024 Acura Integra A-Spec Technology Package to the next level with OEM accessories, performance upgrades, and styling mods. Follow along as we transform this car step by step — from installs and reviews to real-world testing.

If you’re into sport compact builds, JDM-inspired tuning, or daily-driver performance, you’ll feel right at home here. We’re also bringing lessons learned from our overlanding and Land Cruiser days into the tuner garage — it’s still all about exploring and learning as we go.

5th Gen Integra PRL Cobra Intake Sneak Peak | 11th Gen Civic Si / Acura Integra DE4

In this video I unbox the PRL Motorsports Cobra Cold Air Intake (PRL.1077.1.0) designed for the 2022–2025 Honda Civic Si 1.5T, and show how it applies perfectly to the 5th gen Acura Integra A-Spec (DE4) as well.

This intake is marketed for the 11th gen Civic Si, but I confirmed with PRL directly that it installs the same way on the Integra DE4, and it fits my 2024 Integra A-Spec perfectly. In this video we take a close look at:

  • What’s included in the PRL Cobra kit
  • Build quality, design, and first impressions
  • Why this intake is interesting for both Civic Si and Integra owners
  • How it compares visually to other intake options on this platform

This is the first video in a 4-part series covering unboxing, install, why I chose Cobra over the PRL HVI, and before/after sound & driving impressions.
